Heayoung Shin is the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Gamida Cell. Heayoung joined Gamida Cell in June 2021, bringing over 20 years of broad and deep experience in Medical Affairs with a focus in the oncology therapeutic area. She leads the development and execution of Gamida Cell Medical Affairs strategies and oversees several Medical Affairs functions, including Medical Science Liaisons, Search Optimization Specialists, Medical Information Services, publication, medical content development and training. Prior to joining Gamida Cell, Heayoung was at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), where she was involved in several launches and lifecycle management of several products in both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Heayoung assumed increasing responsibilities in the roles of the US Disease Area Head for Hematology and Group Director for Academic Research Collaboration at Bristol Myer Squibb. Before BMS, Heayoung had various roles in Medical Affairs leadership at Tesaro, Incyte, Enzon and Berlex.  Prior to transitioning to industry, Heayoung spent over 7 years as the oncology clinical pharmacist specialist at University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center.  Heayoung holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University and a B.S. from King University.
